Grey Face Rescue Leadership Agreement
The Grey Face Rescue Leadership team is a special group of volunteers that dedicate their time to the operation of Grey Face Rescue.
As a Grey Face Rescue Leadership Team Member, there are certain expectations of you. These expectations are important for the rescue to run properly. You MUST be able to fulfill the below as a Grey Face Rescue Leadership Team Member.
Fulfill all responsibilities of your role description provided to you.
Must have the ability to review + respond to emails received through your Grey Face Rescue dedicated email 4x per week.
Attend in-person training twice per year. This training will take place in St. Cloud and members will receive a 30-60 day notice prior to training.
Incentives as a Grey Face Rescue Leadership Team Member (eligible 90-days after starting date)
$50 gift for each in-person training.
You will receive a 14 cents per mile travel reimbursement for each in-person training.
Catered lunch at in-person training.
$100 credit for Grey Face Rescue merchandise.
1 ticket to Grey Face Rescue Better With Age Bash
1 waived adoption fee per year (dog or cat, includes bonded pairs)
Nail trim, ear cleaning, heartworm test and microchip for 2 dogs per year (services performed at the Grey Face Rescue office during Wellness Days).
Nail trim, ear cleaning, FIV test and microchip for 2 cats per year (services performed at the Grey Face Rescue office during Wellness Days).
Dog + cat training courses.
Christmas celebration party.
In addition to the expectations listed to be a Leadership Team Member for Grey Face Rescue, we also ask that each member abide by the following.
Following all established GFR&R policies and procedures and instructions of management and providing complete and honest information.
Performing your job responsibilities in a professional, honest and ethical manner to meet management's expectations.
Performing your responsibilities carefully and efficiently observing all health, safety and security rules at all times in regards to our volunteers, fosters, adopters and especially our dogs within rescue.
Promoting positive, courteous working relationships with the Executive Director, leadership team members, volunteers, donors, fosters, adopters, and all other representatives of Grey Face Rescue.
Reporting to committed hours and providing appropriate notice of unavailability and/or absences.
Protecting the confidentiality of information that you acquire in the course of your position.
Must embrace the mission of Grey Face Rescue.
Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals.
Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self confidence, common sense and good listening ability.
Reasons for immediate termination
Repeatedly failing to meet job responsibilities or quality and quantity requirements.
Theft, fraud, embezzlement or other proven acts of dishonesty.
Unauthorized use of Grey Face Rescue supplies, information, equipment, funds, donations, other property, computer codes/passwords, or any information withheld in RescueGroups.
Offering discounted or free services or merchandise to individuals without the content of management.
Leaving your responsibilities, department or work area without appropriate coverage (including rescue email).
Falsifying GFR&R documents or records.
Position abandonment, meaning the failure to report to Grey Face Rescue responsibilities without notifying another team member or having appropriate coverage.
Lack of communication with volunteers, fosters, donors, fellow leadership team members and members of the community.
Position Change/Duration of Involvement
A large variety of positions exist at Grey Face Rescue. While it’s often hard to predict what types of opportunities will arise within the organization at any given time, when new positions do arise, it's our goal to fill each position with the most qualified individual. Always remember that we view position changes as a benefit. If you are eager to move to another area, your best strategy is to be the best leadership team member you can be in the position you hold today.
Grey Face Rescue may terminate the relationship at any time and likewise you are free to resign your position at any time. In the event you choose to resign from Grey Face Rescue, we request two weeks’ advance notice. Please submit your letter of resignation to the Executive Director that includes you desired last day and reason for leaving.
If your time with Grey Face Rescue is terminated, for any reason, you must promptly return all confidential documents and other materials that you have. You are not permitted to retain copies of any such documents or materials. In addition, keys, promotional materials, forms, software and all other tools a leadership team member would use should be returned. Following your termination, you will immediately lose access to all rescue files, email services, social media groups and other rescue based outlets.
