ABOUT US
Grey Face Rescue focuses on animals age 7 and older. We accept senior animals into our foster program and hospice care. We also seek special and educated adopters to give our seniors there forever homes.
Our mission is "Grey Face Rescue & Retirement strives to educate and strengthen the bond between families and pets to avert the need for rescue in later years. If rescue is needed, we provide exceptional care to ensure all animals are respected and valued and that they live with comfort and dignity through foster, hospice, and adoption programs."
Grey Face Rescue is dedicated to the following goals:
● Rescuing animals from owner surrenders and animal shelters that have not been adopted and are scheduled to be euthanized.
● Securing a no-kill foster-based program where rescued seniors can be safely sheltered without the threat of euthanization until adoptive families are found for them, or where they may live out their days surrounded by love and the very best care specific to their needs.
● Providing veterinary care to neglected, abused and injured senior animals.
● Promoting the benefit of adopting older pets, and educating the public on the care of seniors.
● Providing free microchip services to community members to ensure that if pets go missing, a local clinic and/or shelter can scan their microchip and return them home safely.
● Creating an alliance with local shelters and animal rescues to improve the adoption rate of senior pets.
When you volunteer with GFR&R, you’re giving the animals one of the greatest gifts of all — your time. Whether you’re spending one-on-one time with the animals, helping out at events or assisting in some other way, you’re helping the animals to feel loved. For that, everyone here at GFR&R is incredibly grateful, especially the animals.
We wish you an enjoyable, safe, fulfilling and rewarding volunteer experience!
